Jesse Fulton - Rockstar Web Developer and Front-End Engineer

I grew up in a small town just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. With a thirst to "explore the world," I decided to venture a whole 400 miles south to Baltimore after graduating high school. I lived in Baltimore for a total of 5 years during and after college. I didn't have much direction when I got to college, yet somehow I managed to pick up a degree in Computer Science, another in Psychology, and an accent which makes people think I'm Canadian.

Immediately after college, I began working as a software engineer at a local development house. However, I never really recovered from the stress of working as full-time bartender while pursuing a very difficult double-degree, and after just a year-and-a-half at that job, I burned out.

Having had enough with Baltimore, I decided to ditch everything I had and ventured out to Los Angeles, yet again with no real direction. As luck may have it, I ended up getting a pretty sweet gig at Disney Interactive Media Group as a Senior Web Developer. I'm still working at DIMG as a member of the Architecture team, specializing in front-end optimization and developing and maintaining an internal JavaScript framework based off of the YUI library.

I've also taken about two semesters' worth of graphic design courses while I've been out here in LA. Those educational pursuits are currently on hold, but I do still enjoy designing, drawing, and taking photographs outside of the classroom.

When I'm not working on the interwebs, I enjoy travelling, riding two-wheeled vehicles, photography, growing facial hair, watching football, thinking, listening to rad music, and pretending that I know about modern art & graphic design.

If you'd like a more formal/professional description of these events, feel free to download my (a bit out-dated) résumé or find me on LinkedIn. Oh, and as long as I don't go on another year-long lazy busy spree, this site is still under development.
